The posts are made from tarnish free hypoallergenic stainless steel. The posts are embedded into the clay making a flatter bottom so the stud sits better on the ear.

I have a few pairs of these knot studs and they're all absolutely fantastic; so colourful and lightweight to wear. I purchased a pair in the cherry bomb colour recently and they're even better in real life. The colour is so much more vibrant than I expected and just the most stunning shade of red.
